An executive level position with a leading Kuwait based Financial Institution
Head of Financial Planning, Budgeting & MIS Development.
Job Summary:
- Budgeting and Forecasting, providing quality and timely financial, management and business performance reports;
- pro-actively supporting Business Units on all financial, accounting and analytical issues;
- supporting business units in carrying out internal & external financial research and analysis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation and consolidation of Budget and financial projections for strategic plans by Business Unit, Branch, Wholly-Owned Subsidiary and at bank-wide (consolidated) level.
- Assist CFO in implementation of a comprehensive bank-wide MIS system covering the dimensions of performance by business units, branches, subsidiaries and product streams.
- Preparation of all Management Reports and enhancing the quality and timeliness of these reports so as to serve as an effective decision support tool for Management.
- Preparation of reports relating to Business Units Performance and monitoring of the same Vs. budgets.
- Preparation of Branch Performance reports and monitoring of same against budgets.
- Preparation of Subsidiary Performance reports and monitoring of same against
budgets. - Preparation of liquidity gaps, interest rate gaps and global FX open position
reports. - Preparation of periodic credit reports.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly income forecasts in coordination with the AVP, Accounts.
- Prepare trend analysis and benchmarking reports and analyse performance of Business Units against prior periods and peer group performance.
- Carry out research and analysis under the direction of the CFO and provide explanations and interpretations on events and trends.
- Provide meaningful analysis of all Financial Reports.
- On-going analysis of performance of Business Units, Branches, Subsidiaries and Products.
- Providing necessary support and expertise to the Business Unit heads in the budgeting and planning processes to make the process smooth, productive and meaningful.
- Maintenance of the MIS System (initially spread-sheet based) and continually enhance the same to provide more meaningful information for Business Units. Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Ability to submit MIS reports to MD/EVPs.
- Coordinating with all Business Units, Settlement Dept. and other cost centers.
External:
- Auditors, Financial Advisors/consultants & Subsidiaries.
Qualification, Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Professional Accountant
- Over ten years post qualification experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the asset management and investment banking business and its product and service dynamics.
- Industry, economic, market and competitive knowledge.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of corporate planning, budgeting and financial analysis.
- Good IT skills.
- Strong managerial and communication skills.
- Good team player.
